Gwen is a passionate business owner and advocate for health, wealth and knowledge in the American African community. Gwen owns Goddyss Lyfe, a company focused on educating and providing products that are tailored made for individuals of African descent. She specializes in diet and lifestyle for Afro-ethnic cultures.
Gwen leverages her formal education (Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Masters in Sports Management) to transition American Africans into a lifestyle change through exercise, diet, and proper nutrients. Gwen also believes in the value of self-image and has created a customized doll line to encourage young girls of African descent to have pride in their hair, skin and body types. Gwen volunteers with The Narrative in the Atlanta, GA and Los Angeles, CA markets.
Meloney J. Barney, MHA, LPN
Volunteer Community Health Expert
Meloney is the CEO of Agape Care Services, a companion care/assisted living organization. A proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and alumna of both Wayne State University and Northcentral University, Meloney is a changemaker in her community through active engagement with vulnerable populations in the community (youth, special needs and geriatric). As a nurse with a psychology background, she believes in providing holistic practices through traditional mechanisms. She strives for a full understanding of the individual while providing viable solutions in her community.
She has a passion for individuals transitioning from foster care into society and advocates for better programs with long term value. Through her company, she provides solutions and philanthropy. A former director of multiple youth programs, Meloney focuses on developing our next generation and their contributions to society. She doesn't just 'talk the talk,' she lives it. An author, speaker, panelist, and community thought leader, Meloney is leading the charge in making CHANGE!
